Cherish from Hauora kids movement provides sessions of mindful movement & yoga , she provides a space with games and resources where children can also focus on the importance the breath has in their emotional wellbeing .
We do this in an environment that promotes individuality and acknowledges children’s energy levels , this is why our program has been designed blending a combination of all the good stuff of yoga and the fun interactive and inquisitive eagerness to learn aspects of young children.
This term our focus is GAMES- Our games can be anything from physical active games, to thinking games, emotional wellbeing games, breathing games , introspective games , partner games, group games, somatic games, music games.
What skills will children be encouraged to develop :
Proprioceptive awareness , physically challenging themselves , introspection ( learning to understand themselves from the inside ) , balancing , strength , flexibility , community , emotional awareness , breath awareness ,anatomy, values .
Cherish believes that children need spaces where all their human characteristics are being expressed – that’s our physical , emotional, community and spiritual parts. This is essential as they grow and express themselves on who they want to be.
