Emma has a Bachelor of Education (Primary Specialist) from The University of Auckland. During her studies she looked in how to cater towards a diverse range of ethnicities, culture and exploring the strong concept of involvement of communities. This was through developing her knowledge of the Pasifika Curriculum (Tapasā), Pasifika learners, Māori Language and Learners, and the pedagogy for Raising Student Achievement. Emma emphasis’ on creating inclusive, collaborative and stimulating learning environments in all students’ educational journeys where the learning is created by knowing the learner and they style that best helps them to shine. Outside of school Emma enjoys getting outdoors, playing the guitar, music, and spending time with family and friends.
